Bill had a rather uneventful morning. His alarm went off at 6:00 A.M., as usual. He slept an extra eight to nine minutes past his alarm going off. He got out of bed and jumped into the shower. He got out of the shower about the time his coffee maker started to brew his imported Italian roast coffee.

Bill loved coffee, but he knew that the 8 to 10 cups of coffee he was drinking at home and at work were too much. He had experienced slight heart palpitations in the past. These minor beat skips worried him, but not enough for him to relinquish his coffee. He loved coffee. The only thing he loved more than coffee was making money. Sure, Bill liked spending the money too, but making the money was like playing in the Super Bowl or like winning and Oscar for best actor in a dramatic role.

Bill had his usual wheat grain cereal and grapefruit for breakfast. After breakfast, Bill would engage in a very rigorous mental workout. He would close his eyes and determine how his day would go. He felt that if he could visualize it beforehand, it would happen. Bill was always prepared and very well organized. He never had surprises, because he would always be one step ahead of any situation that might arise. Bill had control of his life. Not many people could say that. Bill felt that if other people would take the time to think out and organize their lives their problems would be few. But he believed that most people were too lazy, UN-resourceful, or looking for handouts. The term "free" always bugged Bill, because he believed that there was no such thing as "free". Either he or someone else had to pay for everything one way or another. To Bill, there was only hard work and good planning.

Bill was 27 years old and never married. He had had several girl friends but never got extremely serious about any of his relationships. Lately, bill had been seeing a friend. A slightly built lady named Idola. Idola was single, had been married once, and was a single mom. Idola, also an over achiever, didn’t have time for a husband or for romance in the traditional sense. But she did enjoy Bill’s physical company. Of course, Bill was quite the physical specimen. Less than 9 percent body fat on his 6’ 1 ½", 205 LB frame. Physically, Bill and Idola were good for each other. But they never took their relationship beyond the physical. Not to say that they were cold and impersonal to each other after the lovemaking had ceased. They would, occasionally, take walks together or even take in a show together, either the stage or the movies. The physical interludes were 1 to 2 times a week and no one ever broke the"no sleep over rule".
